After an Islamic State group known as ISIS-K has since claimed responsibility for the attack in Moscow that killed 139 people and left nearly 200 more injured, both Canada and the United States are on high alert for an Islamic Terror attack.

An Islamic terror group that killed more than 140 Russians March 22, 2024 in Moscow, would like to replicate these attacks in both Canada and United States according to senior intelligence sources in both Canada and America.

Western Allies such as the U.S. and Canada are No. 1 targets for ISIS-K, the spinoff group of ISIS/ISIL.

“They clearly would like to strike the homeland, but their challenge is penetrating our security, which has proven to be quite resilient in recent years.”

Mark Quantock, Retired Two-Star Army General & intelligence Operations U.S. Central Command.

Terror Group Brutality

Known for its brutality, ISIS,ISIL, & ISIS-K consider Russia, Western Europe, and many Western nations anti-islamic for not establishing Sharia Law.

Russia has sided with Syrian President Bashar Assad in its civil war, against ISIS/ISL. Launching massive airstrikes that that have killed Islamic militants and displaced hundreds of thousands of Syrians militants working with ISIS/ISIL.

The group is so extreme is even regards hard-line Muslim regimes like the Taliban to be insufficiently devout of true Islamic practices.

It once targeted a maternity clinic in Afghanistan and was responsible for a deadly attack in August 2021 in Kabul that killed 13 U.S. troops and more than 170 Afghans during the chaotic event. A terror attack that saw the deaths of both Americans and Afghans.

The K in ISIS-K stands for Khorasan. Khorasan is a region in and around Afghanistan. ISIS-K is a more violent offshoot of the Islamic State group, or ISIS, which gained strength in 2014 and seized swaths of territory in Iraq and Syria.

Sustained military operations by U.S.-backed forces have since diluted its strength, yet it still strives to strike inside North America.

Expanding Terror Attacks

The attack in Russia on the Crocus Concert Hall, as well other well known attacks such as ISIS-K suicide bombers in Iran in January, 2024 which killed about 100 worshipers, shows the group has capability to conduct large attacks on foreign soil.

The attacks also show the limited reach of of ISIS-K’s with no major or recent assaults in Western Europe or North America.

One of the Islamic State group’s last major attacks in Western Europe took place almost eight years ago, killing 17 people. That type of attack appears beyond ISIS-K’s current capability, senior security officials concluded,

The group does, however, seek to inspire sleeper cells and radicalized individuals in the west to mount their own lone wolf terror attacks.

Retired U.S. general David Petraeus says the risk of a terror attack in Canada is “elevated”. Petraeus believes that an attack of such a scale in Russia makes the current state of Islamic extremism and global instability from Islamic terror “very worrisome.”

“What actually keeps me awake at night… is the fact that we face more threats and more complex threats than we have at any time since the end of the Cold War, if not the end of World War Two”

David Petraeus, Former Director of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency

The Islamic State group known as ISIS-K which has since claimed responsibility for the attack in Moscow that killed 140 people and left nearly 200 more injured seems to be the latest wave of Islamic terror sweeping the globe.

Russia was quick to capture the attackers, with eight men appearing in court in the Russian capital as authorities continue to search for survivors and bodies in the devasted Crocus City Hall concert venue.
