Cost of Red Sea Terror

Currently the Houthi Islamic terror group has seized one commercial ship, sunk another, damaged a series of ships, and claims to have fired hundreds of drones and ballistic missiles at ships entering in the Red Sea.

Iraq’s Iran-aligned militias like ISIS

The necessity of defeating ISIS could not have be overstated, but when you destroy one islamic terror group in the region you open a vacuum for others to emerge.

With the presumed defeat of ISIS in Iraq a more understated islamic terror group which continues to dominate are Shiite militia groups tied to Iran.

These Shiite Islamic terror groups directly undermine the Iraqi government by attacking its security forces, while also enabling other islamic terror groups to coexist.

These Shiite terror groups also terrorize the locals by casualties they inflict on the Iraqi population.

Shiite terror groups working in Iraq are responsible for killing thousands of ethnic Iraqis tied to the protest movement against Iran.

Known for wounding thousands, and routinely assassinating or kidnapping activists, Iranian proxy groups are turning Iraq into a republic of fear.

They hold the state hostage through the barrel of the gun while enjoying constitutional legitimacy as members of the Popular Mobilisation Force (PMF).

This Iran backed terror group also has access to the iraqi federal budget worth at least $2 billion.

The group also exploit the religious legitimacy that was bestowed upon the PMF by Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani in 2014.

A legitimacy established when the organization was formed to fill the void left by the collapse of the Iraqi army.

A decade after later, groups that were aligned with Ayatollah Sistani and not tied to Iran have left the PMF.

Thy have done so out of principal and in turn protest against their human rights atrocities and abuse of power.
